• In the "taken" column, an entry of 2015/16 indicates someone has reserved this room for 2015/16, but it is still available to be booked for 2014/15".
• In the "ensuite / basin" column, e indicates an ensuite room, b indicates a room with a washbasin, and n indicates a room with neither.
• If, for any reason, you suspect you will need to arrive earlier than 5 October, depart later than 22 June, or be in residence during the Christmas or Easter vacations, you are strongly advised to choose a room where long contract is available, even if you do not intend to choose long contract. This is because there is less probability of your request clashing with other events. For example, this would apply if you are involved in organizing Freshers’ week events, and requesting to return early after the summer vacation; thinking of taking part in the Telephone Fundraising Campaign; or taking part in any departmental activities that continue after 22 June.
• If you choose a room in Keynes, you are required to vacate by Sunday 8 December at 9am (a week earlier than the short contract normally ends.) This is to provide rooms for interview candidates. A rebate of one week rent will be given in Lent term for affected students. If this is not convenient to you then you should not choose a room in Keynes.
• The list below indicates bedrooms which have double beds. If you discover double beds in any other rooms, these may be replaced with single beds at any time, and we offer no guarantee they will continue to contain double beds in the future.
• If you wish to self-cater, you should chose a room outside of the main college site. The college’s policy is that we only provide “gyp room” facilities on the main site, not full kitchens with hobs and ovens. This is because of space limitations – most of our buildings on site do not provide enough room to provide full kitchen facilities in compliance with local authority regulations. There are some existing hobs and ovens in place in some areas such as S-staircase, A-staircase and Bodleys, but these may be removed at any time, and may not be repaired or replaced if they fail.
• Market Hostel and Bene't Street Hostel kitchens contain induction hobs. These require pans which are designed for this type of hob – other pans will not work.
