King's BME Open Day

Welcome!

On the 25th of June 2018, King’s College will be hosting its first official BME Open Day.

This one-day event will be open to prospective students aged 16+ from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds. The aim of the event is to give BME students an opportunity to experience life at Cambridge and ask questions about anything from admissions to student life here at King’s. The event will feature a talk on admissions, a Meet the Students event in which current students and academics will be answering subject-specific questions, tours of King’s College (including the Chapel) and many more engaging activities. Lunch will be provided and support is available for long-distance travel on a needs-assessed basis.

In order to register for the event, please fill out the registration form, which is now available here. The deadline for submitting a registration request is 5.00pm UK time, on Friday, 22nd June 2018.

We are excited to announce that King's Alumni George the Poet will be joining us on the 25th of June to talk about his experiences at Cambridge University!

George graduated from King's in 2013 after having studied Politics Psychology and Sociology after which he moved on to pursue a successful career as an acclaimed recording artist and social commentator.

George will be running a session on empowerment and advice after lunch! Places are still available for the Open Day so make sure to check out the requirements for the day and sign up.
