Custodian wins county golf championship
King's custodian Sarah Attwood has won the Cambridge and Huntingdonshire Ladies’ County Golf Association Championship. The tournament took place over three days (17-19 May) at the Brampton Park Golf Club, and Sarah scooped all the Ladies' prizes.
Not only did she beat off strong competition to win the championship trophy, but she won the Allen Newport Trophy for the best qualifying score, and the Scratch Bowl for the best gross score at the Division One meeting and County Championship. She also set a new course record of 69 on the first day.
This is the third time that Sarah has won the county championship, and it cements her place in the county team.
She said: "I was really pleased with the way I played over the three days, and now I'm looking forward to the county week in June."
