Former Dean Michael Till dies

The Very Revd Michael Till, the former Dean of King's College Chapel, died last Tuesday (4 December). He was 77.
Michael was born in Hampstead, London, in 1935. After graduating from Lincoln College, Oxford, he trained for priesthood at Westcott House, Cambridge, and was ordained in 1965. He was Chaplain of King's from 1967 to 1970, and then Dean from 1970 to 1980.
He later became Archdeacon of Canterbury (1986-1996) and then Dean of Winchester (1996-2005).
His funeral will be held in Winchester Cathedral at 11.30am on 14 December 2012.
