The King's Art Centre is holding an exhibition called 'Paintings and Stories' from 3 to 16 April. The exhibition will show pictures by the modern figurative painter John Clark.
Clark studied at Oxford University's Ruskin school of Fine Art and Drawing, and for the last 15 years has worked in the electronic games industry, most recently as art director at Sony Cambridge.
His current artwork returns to traditional media like oil on canvas to depict narrative scenes from everyday life. Influenced by film and photography as well as games, the scenes hint at the drudgery and futility of office life, but also show flashes of comedy and slapstick.
