We look forward to welcoming our Members and their guests back to College on Saturday, 16 March 2019 for the Foundation Lunch. The event is open to all King’s Members who matriculated in and before 1969, and their guests.
This year we would like to give you a glimpse into some of the research that is being carried out at King’s. You will hear from two of our College Research Associates, Dr Julie Laursen and Dr Anna Schliehe, who will be presenting on ‘Penal policymaking and the prisoner experience’. You will also hear from one of our Fellows, Dr Joanna Kusiak who will be presenting on ‘Radically legal: Expanding urban political imagination in/through law’. Following lunch, there is an opportunity to tour the College Gardens with the Head Gardener, Stephen Coghill. Please see the the programme for further information on timings and locations.
The charge to attend the Foundation Lunch is £35.00 per person. This price includes a three-course meal with wine or non-alcoholic alternative, and is supported in part by the College.
The date of the Foundation Lunch coincides with the Foundation Concert in the Chapel, which this year will feature Bruckner and Elgar. A limited number of top and middle section seats for the Concert, priced £35.00 and £27.00 each respectively, are on hold for those attending the Foundation Lunch. If you would like to buy Foundation Concert tickets in addition to your lunch ticket/s, please detail this on your response form. Concert tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and will be available for collection at the registration desk in the Chetwynd Room. If you have any questions, please get in touch.
In previous years, Members have organised a get together for their own matriculation year. If you would like to organise a dinner/drink for your contemporaries following this event, we would be happy to put you all in touch.
We very much hope that you will be able to join us for this annual event. Please do let us know whether or not you wish to attend by Friday, 1 March 2019, either by calling the Development Office on +44(0)1223 767497, or by returning the response form (editable pdf).
If you have any questions regarding the event please contact the Development Office via; email: firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone +44 (0)1223 767497/767489.
