King's College Chapel is famed for its choral services, in particular the evensong services and the Christmas Eve service. The Choir usually sing the services during term time, which you are welcome to attend.
On Christmas Day there is a service of Holy Communion with Carols at 11.00am. Members of the public and University are welcome to queue in the Front Court from 9.30 am. The Chapel doors will open shortly after 10.30 am. The service is expected to last about an hour and a half.
The service on Christmas Day is suitable for all ages. Please bring nothing larger than a small handbag to the Chapel on this occasion.
King’s is also known for Carols from King’s, shown on BBC Two on Christmas Eve, which is a different service from A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols.
Sermons are put online on the sermons page.

Daily said services
In addition to our choral services, more intimate acts of worship are offered each weekday in one of the side chapels. Normally, Holy Communion is celebrated at 12.30 p.m. If there is a Sung Eucharist in the evening, the 12.30 p.m. service that day will be the Office of Readings, at which we hear and reflect on passages both from the Bible and from the great spiritual writers. On Wednesday at 12.30 p.m a time of silent meditation takes place. There will be signage in the Chapel each day specifying where these services are being held.
