Basil Pannacotta

King's has established a name for superb food and wine, and it has been the venue for many high-profile dinners.

King's Executive Chef Jason Waterfield spent his early career in prestigious venues in London, becoming Head Chef at the Westbury Hotel in Mayfair aged just 24.

Ten years ago he returned to East Anglia with a vision to replicate King's College's reputation for academic excellence within the Conference & Dining department.

At King's you can expect classical dishes with our own touches that give an extra tingle to your taste buds. You can also enjoy contemporary cuisine and innovative dishes as well as menus themed for the season and occasion.

One reason for the quality of our food is that we have a passion for fresh, local produce. Some produce comes from land owned by the College itself! Local produce means we can reduce our carbon footprint, and this, together with our support of Fairtrade, forms part of the ethical commitment of our service.

King's has its own Wine Steward. Professor Peter de Bolla is a Fellow of English at the College and, apart from an interest in the history of aesthetics, he is also passionate about wine.

Peter often travels to wine tastings and buys some of the best wines and ports available. The King's wine cellar includes wines at a range of prices, including some excellent value cheaper wines.
